An exciting opportunity, and breastpumping too.

Soooo I was asked to be a contributing blogger over at the Mecca of pregnancy and parenting sites, What To Expect.  Me! Isn't that nuts?! I'm so beyond flattered. Wow.

Anyway, if you've been reading along with this little space for a while you probably know about how I exclusively pumped and bottle fed my breastmilk for the first year of Navi's life. I wrote a bit about my journey last year when I was fresh off of my yearlong relationship with my trusty Medela, you can read that post here. Since writing that post I've been meaning to write a follow up of sorts addressing the emotional side of my pumping experience. When the folks at What To Expect reached out I knew that now was the time, I really couldn't ask for a better place to publish my post than on their site. So if you're looking for some light reading from the trenches of Pumpland, you can check out my new post, here.  :)

    1. Right?! I'm so blown away... I totally check out that site on the daily so to be asked to write a post for them is pretty darn awesome :)

  2. I don't know how I missed this! What a great opportunity to share! I pumped exclusively for four months...I still feel weighed down sometimes with the guilt that I didn't make it longer or that I wasn't able to breastfeed. It's so wonderful to hear your story and know I wasn't alone! :)

    1. I'm right there with ya, Jessica. I try my best to not dwell on things that I cannot change but every now and then those same feelings of guilt definitely sneak up on me as well. I'm learning more and more of people who exclusively pumped... and here I was thinking I was all alone in that craziness ;)
