My sister trip.

My middle sister (Hannah) and I took a little trip to Florida last weekend. We had been planning a sister trip for several months and it kept getting postponed at the last minute. Natalie couldn't go because of school so it was just Hannah and I (next year, Nat, next year). Our trip started off a little rocky- we missed our flight. We flew Spirit (big mistake. don't fly Spirit) and they apparently had 4 planes that were all scheduled to depart within 45 minutes of one another. Soooo even though it was early morning on a non-holiday-Thursday,  the baggage check in line was the longest that I've ever seen...Annnnddd they had three attendants working the counter. Three. Anyway, we ended up missing our first day in Florida because our new flight didn't get in until almost 6pm which was kind of a bummer...butttt we made it. And it.was.GLORIOUS!

We were welcomed into Florida by the best of sunsets and at dinner the first night our waitress told us that we "could really put it away"... soooo thats always a good sign of a meal well enjoyed ;) ha! We soaked in two glorious days of sunshine, walked the beach, did some partner yoga in the sand (I'm sure I'll be finding sand in my hair for weeks to come!), went paddleboarding and really just enjoyed some good quality sisterly bonding. Even the 4am wake up to catch our flight home was fun, and if I'm saying that 4am isn't so bad then thats really something because I am THE grouchiest person in the world before 9am. True story. We pretty much just laughed the entire weekend, I am seriously the luckiest to have such wonderful sisters... I will remember this trip fondly. (Lets make it an annual thing, yes? ;)

I hope with everything I have that I can give Navi a sister one day. Someone who excitedly goes along with all of her crazy ideas and doesn't even miss a beat when she falls down in the sand from dancing to wildly. Someone who knows her heart and feeds her spirit and makes her laugh even when she feels like crying.

Oh and hey, Chris! Thank  you times a billion for being super dad and holding down the fort while I was away... and hey, Na! thanks for only hanging up on me twice during our FaceTime calls ;)

Brace yourself for the world's largest iPhone photo dump in 5, 4, 3, 2, 1...

  1. What a great trip! And these photos are stunning. I'm definitely longing for some sun right now as I look outside at more snow.

    1. Tell me about it! We have snow in our forecast for the next few days... I'm sooooo hoping it stays away! On the plus side, I can see more grass than snow in my yard right now, hoorah!
