That time I got a tattoo.

For about a year now I have been wanting to get a tattoo. I've never really had the desire to get one and then one day, something just clicked, and it suddenly became really important to me. I wanted to get something that was just for Navi and I... something that I look at when I'm old and gray and smile (and probably cry) for the wonderful times we had together. Last weekend after Navi went to bed, I kissed Chris bye and told him not to wait up. I met my sisters at a tattoo shop halfway between their house and mine and a guy named Tony gave Hannah and I our first tattoos. Natalie took pictures, video taped and provided lots of comedic entertainment (seriously the funniest person ever!). Afterwards we hit up Red Robin for late night garden burgers and fries. We had fun... lots and lots of fun. We don't get to do many sister things together with just the three of us since we are all on different schedules (mama time, college time and high school time), so it was really nice.

And now without further ado, here is my new tattoo (see what I did there? ;)
It says "your little hand in mine". I got it as a reminder of this special time with my girl... to remind me how it feels to look down and see her tiny hand wrapped around my finger... to remember this time when she looks at me like I hung the moon... and to remind me to soak in e v e r y second of every moment. <3

Oh, and heres a little video clip from my Instagram account of the process...well more like a video of me making faces at the camera...

  1. really love your tatto and the placement of it! i've wanted a tattoo forever but i'm pretty allergic to dyes (and even henna) so i don't think it's in the cards for me!

  5. gah. That is an awesome tattoo. And almost makes me want another. Are you itching to get more?! I feel like they are addictive, at least until you stop and clear your head.

    1. What is your tattoo of? And no I'm not itching for more. If something clicks in me for another, then I'll get one... but as of now I'm happy with just this one.
