First snow.

We had our first snow last week. It started dusting the night before and when Chris came home from work he gathered up some snowballs for Navi to eat. To say she loved them would be a total understatement! "More no-balls, daddy!" was easily repeated upwards of a dozen times that evening. The flurries didn't really amount to much of anything, just a light dusting is all... nevertheless, it was enough to cause through-the-roof-excitement for Navi when she woke up the next morning to snow out her window.

After breakfast we suited up and headed outside before the sun melted all the snow away. She loved shuffling her feet and making tracks... I think she thought it was funny how the snow weighed down her boots. Most of all, she just loved eating it. She ate snow off the patio table, off her mittens and then finally, off a pine tree. She wasn't quite mobile yet last year when the snow was flying so this was her first time walking in it.  I so love experiencing these firsts with my girl. What a gift to get to see these things like new again through her eyes. We're quite bare in the snow department at the moment so we're having to suffer through the 15 degree temperatures without any pretty snow to make up for it... I'm hoping we get some fluffy white stuff by the bucket full by Christmas ;)

^^^My favorite picture of the day is probably this one that I took on my phone. I LOVED watching those tiny little feet of hers make tracks in the snow for the first time.
^^^ "Mama! Navi eat!"

Oh, and a throwback! Here is her first snow fall from last year...

    1. Thanks, Samantha! It felt good to finally shake the dust of my big-girl-camera again :) All signs of snow have since melted away and we are currently a big soupy mess over here... hopefully December can get it's act together before Christmas time!

  3. Lovely pictures! I'm hoping we luck into some snow when we're up north. I would LOVE to see Declan play in it.
