Our weekend.

Last weekend, that is. We kicked Saturday off right with a picnic at the nature center (again... I know, two picnics in one week?! Who am I?!). In the afternoon, my parents came over for a visit and Chris and I headed out for an early dinner (two picnics annnnd a date? Double who am I?!). There was hand holding and milkshakes and all the necessary makings for a lovely time. Meanwhile, Navi enjoyed some guacamole by the spoonful with my parents and getting to pull over to pet horses on the side of the road on the ride home.

My miniature sous chef and I made pancakes on Sunday morning and about an hour later I discovered that I had a kidney infection. That little speed bump pretty much knocked me off my feet all day so I spent most of Sunday with a fever, laying in bed and getting up to go pee every 9 minutes. Literally. I timed it. Do you know how bad a kidney infection sucks? I hope not. It sucks real bad my friends. Reallll bad.

Anyway, while I was timing my bathroom visits, Chris and Navi spent some time at his mom's house (aka "Nana's ouuuussss") and come Sunday evening, though I was still a bit of a zombie, I was at least able to get up and enjoy some evening light outside with my two favorite people (and a few of the pups, too). Chris stayed home from work on Monday to help me keep up with daily shenanigans since I still wasn't back in tip top shape and by Monday evening I was feeling well enough to take Navi on her first kayak ride. All in all it was a lovely weekend. Well, a lovely Saturday for sure. Sunday I could've done without.

And now a bazillion phone photos of our time together...

^^^ So lately she has been asking me to get in her bed with her when I go in her room in the morning. She clears off a little space on her mattress, pats it and says "mama, yay" (lay). It makes my heart about burst out of my chest its so sweet. Chris captured this little gem of a morning kiss from the monitor screen on Sunday morning and I just love it!
^^^ "More pin, dada! More pin!" Chris has ruptured his ear drums more times than he can count so his equalibrium isnt excactly spot on.... after their little spin session he was just as dizzy as that little toddler of ours and they were both falling all over the yard, it was super cute. He said he really thought he was going to throw up so he found it much less dreamy than I did...
^^^ So Sandy's crazy. And apparently she dives under water now (and holds her breath for quite a long time, might I add!). Tank was watching her like she was flying. We were all pretty impressed.
^^^ Her new toy (although it really does have suction, so its kinda not a toy?!). She's obsessed.
^^^ Picking "peen-cones". She likes to throw them off the dock.

^^^ We've been kayaking together a few times before but she was in my belly then... so this was our first time enjoying it together earth side ;)

Also, totally random side note, I had some questions on my Instagram feed recently regarding how to pronounce mine and Navi's names... "Tisse" is like "peace" with a "T".... and "Navi" is like "N-Ahh-Vee". I think. I don't know, I'm bad with phonetic spelling... but not like "Navy." Make sense? This ahhhhmazing video of her showcasing her newfound smile-on-command skills ought to clear up any confusion ;) this little trick of hers is pretty much my favorite thing ever, ever, ever!...
