My sister's birthday.

My youngest sister, Natalie, turned sixteen on Sunday and it is blowing. my. mind! I remember turning sixteen like it was yesterday (and it so wasn't) and its just crazy to think of her crossing this milestone already! Time really picks up speed after sixteen. And then it just goes into overdrive after you have a baby.

Anyway, Chris stayed home with Navi (and caught up on his Under the Dome obsession, of course) and I went out with my family for Natalie's birthday. We went to dinner and then bowled a couple games. (Side note: I'm a terrible bowler but I won my first game ever with a 95. Up top! ... Technically, I guess I got third place overall...But it was first place on my screen... so I'm counting it.) The rule for the evening was if you got a spare or a strike (or just kept the ball out of the gutter, in Natalie's case) you had to do some kind of dance move. I of course videotaped them, because thats my job. Most looked like something you'd see in a Cancun nightclub and were top of the line embarrassing...but it sure made for a super fun night. Though Natalie's boyfriend won for best overall dance moves of the night (his winning combo included both crawling and growling... insert crying while laughing emoticon here...), my dad moonwalking while my sister's boyfriends tossed dollar bills at him and my mom almost falling over while whipping her hair around were definitely big highlights of my evening.

Happy, happy birthday little sis! I'm so grateful to call you my sister, my friend and Navi's aunty... you make everything fun, bring so much light to this world and I love watching what a wonderful person you are growing into. I love youuu!!!

    1. Gee thanks, Jessica! I gotta tell ya, it gets awfully intense walking around with this wool blanket on your head in the summer...but in the cooler months I do totally love my shoulder warming mop ;)
