Up.

"Mama! Up, up!"

Those words were really the soundtrack of our days this week. Navi is getting closer and closer to walking but at the same time she is also wanting to be held more each day. Perhaps she can sense her impending freedom and it makes her a little nervous. Maybe she's apprehensive about this big change about to happen in her life where she gains independence yet isn't ready to do everything on her own quite yet and she needs a boost of confidence- a reminder that someone has her back and will catch her if she falls.

Then again, maybe the girl just wants to be held by her mama. I get that too.

Either way, I'm here for you little girl. I've always got your back. You can do so much now but there are still some things that you've yet to master and you are kind of stuck on the fence between little and big. Just know that mama will happily hold you close on either side of that fence. When I can no longer pick you up and hold you in my arms, you can hold my hand. And when you no longer need to hold my hand, be confident in yourself and know that you always, always, hold my heart.

I love you my angel- sometimes so much my heart just bursts.

Here are some bits and pieces from our week of life's sweet little moments, not to be forgotten.

  1. My favorite thing is when my daughter says "Mommy, I'll hold ya". How could I not pick her up?? You and your daughter are so gorgeous! Found you from Casey's blog.

  2. I love the first picture of you two on the swing! She looks so happy. :)

Declan has just started crawling over to me and pulling on my pants to pick him up. Totally heart-melting.

    1. Oh yeah, the swing is her happy place for sure! If I just say "do you want to go to the park?" she responds with "sing! sing!".

I hear ya on the heart-melting! When Navi first tugged on my pants for me to pick her up, I about died. That's a big mama moment for sure.
