Walking.

On Sunday Navi started walking more and more often. By Monday she only crawled for about 20% of the day. On Tuesday she was exclusively walking. She is now a walker. A walker! She has bid farewell to those pudgy little knees of hers and has fully embraced her chubby, cowboy-like legs. She is getting more steady, seemingly by the hour, and I suspect that she will be full blown running in a week.

This walking thing is a big change. She seems very grown up all of the sudden, and so much more confident with exploring things away from mom- all in just a few short days (hard to believe this was just six days ago). Its a very surreal thing, seeing her walk. Chris and I can't stop talking about it and how crazy it is to see such a big change take place in just a week's time. You'd think she just got in a car and drove away down the road the way we go on about it. If the last few days are any indication of what toddlerhood is going to be like, then we are in for a real treat because she has been quite the little dreamboat (cue eating of words in 5...4...3...2... ;)
^^^This is the face she gets when she's really excited to show me something. This moment of her seeing something that catches her eye and then racing over to tell me about "Dat! Dat! Dat!" happens all in a second's time span so I normally don't get to look at this face for that long. I'm glad I captured a picture of this funny little mug she makes, I'm guessing things like garden hoses won't be worth racing over to tell mom about for too much longer...

^^^I think he's going to have a lawn mowing buddy this summer...I'm going to be the nutcase in the front yard taking picture #207 of her sitting on his lap driving the tractor because babies that mow lawn are just really my jam (there will also be lots of clapping and maybe even some jumping up and down, I'm sure).
^^^This little flower bud is finally deciding to take off her fur coat...
^^^I found out where the fairies live...

    1. Thank you so much Lauren, you're so sweet! And she is totally looking like a little drunk these days- especially when she gets up from a nap, she can hardly make it three steps without taking a tumble if she's groggy :)

  2. I LOVE the wobbly baby legs! Such cute pictures and I can just feel her excitement bubbling through. Such a great stage. Declan is going to walk any day now I feel, and while I'm really excited and cheering him on, I'm also like, "Dude, take. your. time!"

    1. Haha I know, I can practically hear her shouting to me through that picture! Oh my gosh, Declan's not even a year yet, talk about an early walker! Slow down little man! As much as I'm loving seeing her walk, a part of me is totally missing her little crawl. It just feels like such a turning point when they start walking...like the baby is out and the toddler is in. Maybe just take all his walker type toys away- that should slow him down a few days ;)
